Meet the first candidate of JYPE’s upcoming girl group Im Na Yeon and her girl next-door personality
On April 13th, JYP Entertainment has finally introduced the first of sixteen candidates for the upcoming Mnet girl group survival show, Sixteen.
Member #1 is JYP Entertainment trainee Im Na Yeon who was first confirmed to appear following reports of the show’s pushed back premiere date.
The adorable trainee cutely compares herself to Squirtle and shows off some original choreography to Taylor Swift’s hit Shake It Off. When asked what type of girl she is, she wittily with a wink “I am a girl…that is good to date!”
Starting today, JYP Entertainment will be releasing a new trailer for another candidate each day leading up to the show’s premiere on May 5th. The show will air on Mnet every Tuesday night at 11PM KST.
The show will follow seven JYP trainees who will be pitted against nine new trainees, vying for their spots on JYP Entertainment’s first girl group since miss A’s debut in 2010. This new format will raise the bar for competition as sixteen candidates from Korea, China, and Japan compete through a rigorous competition.
