[★VIDEO] PSY’s “Hangover” ranks YouTube’s #1 most viewed K-pop MV of 2014
World K-pop star PSY has made it again this year with “Hangover” featuring Snoop Dogg as YouTube’s #1 most viewed K-Pop music video of the year (December 1st, 2013 – November 30th, 2014), according to the video streaming site on December 9th.
Since the release of “Hangover” in June, the music video garnered over 100 million YouTube view counts in just a month. Currently, PSY’s “Hangover” accounts for more than 164 million view counts on YouTube. Although PSY’s worldwide recognition since “Gangnam Style” has attributed to his tremendous views for “Hangover,” Snoop Dogg and PSY’s comical acting cannot be ignored as well.
Meanwhile, “Gangnam Style” has surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube since its release in the summer of 2012. The runner ups for YouTube’s most viewed K-pop music video of 2014 were EXO’s “Overdose” in second, Girls’ Generation’s “Mr. Mr.” in third place, 2nE1’s “Come Back Home” in fourth, and Taeyang‘s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” in fifth, and more.
In addition, YouTube awarde SM Entertainment as the most viewed Korean channel , with PSY following close in second place, and KBS World in third.
