Rapper Crown J gets love call and cast offer to join American “We Got Married”
After getting spotted by American paparazzi having dinner with his music video’s “I’m Good” female lead Masika Kalysha, Crown J has received a love call to appear on the American version of We Got Married.
According to Crown J’s agency Fly Boy Entertainment on June 11th, the Korean rapper recently received an offer to join the upcoming American version of We Got Married, retitled as Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood.
Though it is dubbed as the American version, the show itself is drastically different from the original Korean version. We Got Married focuses on each virtual couple’s relationships and their interaction with one another, however, Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood follows the lives of these American rappers with their female counterpart as they strive towards success in the entertainment industry.
The show, which is currently in its first season (2014) and has been renewed for a second, features Omarion, Soulja Boy, Young Burg, Ray J.
Fly Boy Entertainment continues to comment that eight months of Crown J’s schedule needs to be left empty to accommodate the shooting for a whole season. However, the Korean rapper made releasing his mini-album LOLO in South Korea a priority as it’s been over six years since his last release in the country.
The agency reveals that the Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood staff has expressed they are okay with Crown J completing his promotional schedule in South Korea first before joining. Fly Boy Entertainment further comments that it hasn’t been decided yet whether he will appear on the show and is still considering the cast call.
Should Crown J accept to appear on the reality show, he will become the first Asian to appear on the Love and Hip Hop reality series.
