Zion.T and Crush release “Young” album project with “Just” MV
Zion.T and Crush have finally released their Young collaboration album project with the music video for the title track, “Just.”
After teasing fans with a series of album photos and a teaser video earlier this week, the two artists revealed Young through their SNS accounts and various online music sites on February 2nd.
Although both Zion.T and Crush have gained reputations as hip-hop artists over the past few years, often appearing as featuring artists in tracks, Young is a refreshing change with both the R&B vocalists taking the spotlight. The title track “Just” is R&B-heavy, with light verses of rap, and is smooth and melodic compared to the more fast-paced, funky tracks in their previous projects.
In a beautifully-made music video, Zion.T and Crush sing a bittersweet song about love and heartbreak. With black and white clips of dancers, piano players, and empty rooms, the video follows the visual concept that was seen in the various teaser images last week.
Young is the second project in Amoeba Culture’s ongoing NEWorkend project, after the first collaboration between Gaeko and Yankie for the single “Cheers.” The album is the brainchild of both Zion.T and Crush and, like the title, the theme of “youth” guides the emotions and imagery throughout the music video and album.
